Fishing with Kim Andersen

We started off the day with some reef fishing for Large mouth and smallmouth nannygai. We secured our bag limit on nannygai in the first 2 hours of the charter, landing a few nice sized fish.

We pulled out the trolling gear and made our way over to the paddock, hoping for a billfish. Although there was plenty of bait, the billies didn't want to play so we switched over to bibbed minnows to have a go at some Spanish mackerel. We put 2 nice sized Spanish in the boat in the first ten minutes before they switched off as the tide turned.

The punters really wanted to catch some coral trout, so a drop off on the paddock was our next port of call. After putting some quality trout in the boat, we put out the trolling gear once again and trolled but to no avail.

Overall, weather was great (if you don't count rain!) and fish were biting well.

Cheers
Kim & Nat

  • Well done Kim & Nat for a great effort today, but more importantly well done to your anglers who braved the weather and the results paid off.
